Mega videl development thread

Post by foft »

I started a project a few months ago for a new expansion board for the CT60/CT63.

The thread on Atari forum is:
https://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?t=46347
& the repo:
https://github.com/scrameta/mega_videl

I just ordered prototype boards, hopefully I didn't screw anything up.

Anyway Steve (stormy) suggested I pop back here to mention the project and perhaps we can talk about debugging problems when I start to bring up the board. There are plenty of things I haven't tried before, notably DDR3 routing, impedance control, using transceivers etc.

Looks cool. I wish people would stop using SMT connectors though. Unplug at the wrong angle and the whole connector rips off the PCB.
