5V USB? You mean "+5VSB"? 5 volt standby power? Why would anything on CT6x be wired to "+5VSB"?

Id assume that's how the CT60 turns on / off the PSU.. It would need power to do that in the first place. Those 2 chips must be the circuit which controls that.alexh wrote: Fri Oct 16, 2026 4:29 pm 5V USB? You mean "+5VSB"? 5 volt standby power? Why would anything on CT6x be wired to "+5VSB"?

Ah probably to do with full ATX spec when you can turn an ATX PSU off(/on?) with software? Not applicable if you're using a physical switch like CT60PSU I guess.

No idea if software can turn it on/off or not. Maybe it could turn it off via software, never heard of anyone doing that though. I just always used the power headers on the CT60 to turn the PSU on. Likely some people just hardwire the PON wire so as soon as the PSU is turned on, the CT60 powers up..alexh wrote: Fri Oct 16, 2026 4:47 pm Ah probably to do with full ATX spec when you can turn an ATX PSU on/off with software? Well that is how PC's turn off ATX PSUs without any button presses.exxos wrote: Fri Oct 16, 2026 4:52 pm No idea if software can turn it on/off or not. Maybe it could turn it off via software, never heard of anyone doing that though.
I understand. Again that is how most PCs turn on ATX PSUs they have a momentary PON button going to the motherboard. I didn't realise there were any electronics associated with it on the motherboard powered on +5VSB! I thought the button press just went directly to the PSU. Learn something new every day.exxos wrote: Fri Oct 16, 2026 4:52 pmI just always used the power headers on the CT60 to turn the PSU on.

Maybe you can make a bodge to use a onerom for this?
