Still not had chance to solder the new chip on yet :(
But saw someone designed a baby AT case.

If anything I probably end up with a acrylic box of some kind. Keep it all flat and easier to swap stuff about. I dont have any room for anything else. So keeping it small will have to be a must.

I'll ask AI to make me on.. Be a laugh....

Oh it looks the biz...

So the connecting posts have to extrude the panels in order for them to slot in and be secured. While internal connections could be done I think having the vertical post there would actually be stronger anyway. Should I do get dropped on top of the thing the vertical supports will mostly take the brunt of the force etc. I thought of making them more of a feature as well anyway..

Likely the top and bottom sections would probably have to be purchased and CNC cut and drilled, rather than a 3D printed part. Possibly also the side panels as well. The whole thing and trying to get to fit in my 3-D printer bed hence part of the reasons for doing smaller panels. At least for prototypes.

Some parts can be 3-D printed but considering the size of the panels doing the whole thing via a CNC route might just be the better option here. 3-D printing would probably be okay for prototypes but the time and material involved would not really make it a ultimately good case.

And before anyone asks for the .stl .. Nothing is to scale and nothing has been measured yet to fit the Milan motherboard. The project will move incredibly slowly because I have practically no time these days for projects as it is without starting more projects.

EDIT:
I was looking around for actual cases but considering they have not been around since like the 1990's, they are basically all yellowed battered and stupidly overpriced. And to think I was chucking away this stuff years ago because it was just obsolete and things moved on.. But am certainly not going to pay £200-£300 for a battered old yellowed case. My build will probably end up costing more as that's generally how things go.. That will be the problem buying the plastic sheets and getting them CNC cut.

Top and bottom plate at JLC pricing.. Makes no sense. It defaulted to a cheap price for the top panel, then I switched to alimentum, then back to ABS, and price is still higher. So god knows what the real price is.

I could understand the bottom plate would need a lot of waste material and the expensive changing the options for the flat plate one the $37 one seems more realistic but it does not go back to that price for some reason ?!

So the top panel was not actually perfectly flat that would explain one thing...

Oddly now aluminium is cheaper than plastic
