OpenFlops Gotek derivative

Thanks. I wasn't aware about this project. For those that don't know, it is basically an open source Gotek derivative.

@DoG , or somebody else, any actual experience with this device? Any idea how much it costs to order a fully assembled board from Pcbway?

To be honest, I am little "surprised" that it is offered as "licensed", when it is based on a third party design. But that is non of my business, I guess.

Yes, It works like a Gotek. I don't have any problem with the two I built. I use mine with rotary encoder, buzzer and OLED display. I ordered blank PCB and soldering everything by hand and then programmed with serial/usb converter. I did not order fully assembled from PCBWay/JLCPCB so I don't know what that would cost.

Pin 46 is not connected on OpenFlops either.

Oh, too bad and not too encouraging. Do you suspect it's an issue inherent to the OpenFlops design, or was more likely something specific to your unit?

To be honest I didn't investigate too much as I was keen to put a FDD back in anyway. I did update the firmware and try a new USB stick but that didn't fix anything.

It had worked well for quite a while and since nothing else changed I can only assume the drive itself failed.
