I hate building
web pages. It's a chore, it's a bore. However, while
Matthew's taking time off MyAtari, I'll be doing precisely
that, so it's
just as well he did a good job on the design
of the site, as even I can update it
easily!
Finally this
month we can present you our full JagFest UK
report. In addition to the traditional MyAtari
photo diary, this time we're bringing you several
highlights
of the event in separate articles. A combination
of interesting developments to see in the first
place and MyAtari team attendance makes this
possible, there's no way one reporter could
take it all in.
I'm
also proud to present an article from Freddy Offenga,
better known to XL/XE fans as Frankenstein of
the famous Dutch demo crew, the High Tech Team.
I recall spending many hours in my school days watching
all the HTT demos and using them to impress
friends. Freddy is still active on the 8-bit,
having spent a short time away with an STE to
learn 68000, he is now back in force and dedicating
himself to the preservation of the 8-bit legacy.
Read all about his ambitious project in the
detailed article, also to be published in German
by ABBUC, of which Freddy is a member. I personally think it's a
great idea, and don't see any reason why it
can't be expanded and applied to other systems.
Hopefully the article will inspire the rest
of the Atari scene to do the same on each respective
platform in the family.
Enough of the
talk now, there's lots to do this issue.
