Clock patch V2 delay pad

I guess I better ask... I have a V2 installed and running fine (well, except one weird edge case: viewtopic.php?p=119865#p119865). So I'm thinking that before doing anything else, maybe I could try that delay option, just to see what happens: https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/atari/last ... #V2HISTORY. However the whole guide never mentions what *exactly* should be soldered to have it enabled?

I guess 1 and 2 should be soldered together but I want to be sure. :)

Does the explanation here help? Top two pads for delay off, bottom two for delay on. It's basically a 3 pole switch. Usually only needed if a bus speeder is installed. Make sure you don't forget to install the resistor on the sdma end.

It doesn't, as it is the same text. :-)

I presume that by default it is OFF so ... what do I solder together to have it ON?

And yes, I'm aware of its target audience, I'm just curious whether the problem gets worse (or better ;-)).

The middle is the common (ie; always soldered to either top or bottom pads)

Off: top pad soldered to middle (common)
On: bottom pad soldered to middle (common)

Hope that helps. Ps if that photo is of your current configuration, then you have delay on.

PPS I just saw your markings and 1&2. Those aren't part of the delay circuit at all so don't be soldering them. The three delay pads are between what you've marked 3&4.

That was a very valuable observation, thanks Steve. So it is ON by default, interesting. Maybe that is what prevents the Falcon from behaving properly!

EDIT: No, it had no effect. The Falcon works equally well / bad as with the delay enabled.
