Any practical way of doing the above?
I'd like to go to a dual 1.04 / 2.06 setup but I have a 6 chip 1040.
Thanks-

What motherboard revision do you have?
EDIT: Some boards have jumpers that says 1M. Three of them needs to be moved/resoldered. You also need to have a 74LS11 fitted to combine the ROM signal if it is missing
EDIT2: Check here for
motherboard revisions.

Be aware that to use 2.06 in an STF you would need additional address decoding.
What you're really talking about is dual TOS not 2 chip.
Converting from 6 chip to 2 chip TOS is relatively easy to do, you source a 2 chip ROM set, install and you would need to change the soldered ROM jumpers from 256KB to 1MB. It would give only one version of TOS though.
If on the other hand you do mean dual TOS, then the store has some boards, but as I said, without a decoder board, TOS 2.06 won't work in an STF.
