Just a update....As much as i try I fear there is no way of having a second IDE channel on the TF536 rev 2b....I've tried a buffered IDE splitter...as soon ad you plug anything into it...there's no boot.....no luck with a AlphaData AT-Bus..with rom or Octapussy.

Two drives work for me on one long cable on a buffered TF536. I tried with my CF adapter as slave and it then booted to the SDcard on the sdcard adapter on the same cable.

Just on this, for anyone adding a second device on the IDE chain...
Check the IDE/CF adapter, if the underside has solder pads then it is likely to be configured for a master and slave on that card, and anything else you add to the bus will conflict with the slave part of the IDE/CF adapter. If it has solder pads, even though nothing is soldered to it, the device is still configured with an active slave. Tip: the Chinese IDE/CF adapters generally DO have empty solder pads underneath and ARE configured for master/slave.
I got caught out on this, pulled my hair out for some time. I then found a CF adapter that was purely master only, and BOOM she worked

I`m using a IDEtoSD adapter and there`s no Master/Slave Selection jumper.....
