hard disc / cf partitioning software

hi
i recently acquired a 4 meg ste with a 256gig cf card.
the adaptor is a tas div-ide but i know nothing about theses.
i have some other cf cards i want to use but i have no idea how to partition and get to boots
idea's ?

In all honesty the best option is HDDRIVER.
It is a fully supported driver that supports all types of drive and comes with the tools you'd need to prep a CF card, or any other type of hard drive for that matter. The latest version even includes Blitter acceleration.
You can get it here:

Whilst it isn't cheap at €46, it is still in development and the most flexible driver for the Atari ST.
PP does also sell a driver here:
http://www.8bitchip.info/atari/pphdr.php which is €15, but it is usually specific for the interface you have and will only work with that, which is why I prefer HDDRIVERs flexibility.
PPs driver does take less space in memory, but since you have 4MB RAM that won't be an issue.
You can still find the ICD Pro drivers on the web, but they are getting long in the tooth and you'd be better off getting something more modern.

Uwe's driver really is very good. As you say, it is not cheap, but it's a price you will pay once, and it will always work, on every Atari, with every controller, and every drive. It's a good investment in my opinion.

I'm with you 100% there, it really is a great driver and investment.
