I received the CDTV from bartekmalysz this evening. All looking good and as he described it. Thanks for that.
Upon popping the cover and placing a partially built TF536 in position it became clear that placing additional pin rows under the card won't solve all the problems, at least on this REV 2.2.1 that I received. An additional row of female pins still doesn't provide enough clearance over the large radial caps and with two additional rows things start to get out of hand.
A relocator seems to be in order so I put together this preliminary design based on what seemed to be the most sensible location. Currently the 536 is pulled 28mm to the right and 18.4mm towards the front of the CDTV case.

I've added a cutout for C163 at the bottom left and positioned it so that the 536 won't hit C162 at the top right.
I'll do something about that offensive routing on the lower left before sending for a prototype.

When putting this together It seemed that someone must have done this before. A quick search revealed that 8BitDreams has been sandbagging on us! :lol: and had suggested the existing board shown below to someone on another forum a while back.

It donsn't appear to be a dedicated CDTV relocator (A1000? A2000?) as the CPU footprint orientation is 180 degrees out, at least for this CDTV I have here but the dimensions look close. I don't think this existing relocator would work for the 536 as it doesn't appear to pull the accelerator far enough away from the big radial caps at the top.
The Big Book Of Amiga Hardware lists the following CDTV motherboard revisions:

A cursory glance at the images available seems to suggest that there isn't much variation in the target area for the relocator/536.
I haven't investigated the height situation fully but on first inspection it looks like it will work with the relocator. Worst case scenario the 536 could be permanently soldered to the relocator using male pins only to save height. I will take a closer look at all this over the weekend.
Suggestions and obvious flaws in the plan are welcome.
