44-pin IDE DOMs are typically SATA M.2 SSDs with integrated SATA->PATA adapter.
I take it back. I opened my two DOMs I have here. One has a
hyperstone F9-ILAT06 PATA->Flash chip (never heard of them) and the other an
SST 55LD019A both native PATA->Flash chipsets.
Learn something new every day.

I have a DOM fitted and it accommodates very well with the CT60 PSU, so why not with yours ?
I thought everyone hated DOM modules as they failed easily ?
My CT63 Falcon also has a DOM fitted. I’ve never had any problems with it. :)
I bought it from him back then and ordered another one later on.

The holes didn't line up on this print :( So trying again...
The bracket mounting post is in the way a fair bit. Plus I haven't got much wiggle room as that cap next to the floppy cable is also in the way  I can't move it the other way as the RF box and caps are in the way. So this is going to be a very tight fit...

Ah.. thats super annoying, the adapter is actually upside down. I was going to use the CF socket holes as a low profile bolt down point but the CF socket is actually on the wrong side of the PCB

I need to double check the adapter in my falcon is actually that way before doing anything else.. but looking at images on the internet, it is "upside down" thats a spanner in the works again

I think I am just going to make a new CF adapter PCB. The amount of time im spending trying to fit a off-the-shelf CF adapter which isn't great anyway, I might as well just design my own PCB and have it fit exactly how I want it..

Sounds good in principle...and then you can spend the time you save porting games to the Falcon with AI assistance!

A crude 3-D render of the new proposed adapter board in place..
