The code was:

10 for n=30 to 160
20 print chr$(n) ;
30 next n
40 goto 10

I cut down the range as characters before 30 and after 160 seem to do strange things.

Left it running and the machine crashed. Garbage on screen and screen flashing/rolling, though crashes vary in the way they appear.

After I reset it was just a black screen, and when I powered off/on the EXOS 2.04 banner was corrupted and so was the flashing Enterprise logo and then BASIC.

Turning off and leaving for a minute and it came back ok.

OK, starting the test.

The screen driver doing automatic word wrap always feels strange to me.

OK. Stable so far.

May I suggest the first test would be putting the original RAM back in and trying again? Just in case it's to do with A15 on the EEPROM.

Other than that it's the ol' freeze spray on one chip at a time, isn't it?

Did you mean original ROM? Yes I'll try that next.

As for the freeze spray I'll try my thermal cam first 😁

Ahh wait the original ROM doesn't contain basic and I don't have a ROM cartridge with it in.

I forgot about that!

Leaving it on the logo screen will make things warm up and may cause a failure as well, or did in my case anyway.

Well it was worth a try for sure.

I'll try what @PhilC said and leave it at the boot logo or perhaps switch to the Wordprocessor using the FN key.

If it is bad RAM then it should show regardless. First off I need to get the G7000 off the bench, which happily seems to be working :)

On another note my replacement screws arrived today so I will be able to screw it together once I fix this stuff :)
