Made more tests and discovered that the safest ROMs to use are eventually the ones on the ATW800/2.
When I use the Monsterbo ROMs or motherboard ROMs (fitted on the Ghost adapter), everything works fine when the Alt-ram is disabled,
With Alt-ram on, I have various issues arising.

Just looking at the pics and I'm wondering if you'll have space for a couple of TRAMs in there as well?
Yes, still enough room for 2 TRAMs.
;)
Cool, do you think you'll get any? I got a couple from
@Steve ,they're a very snug fit in my MSTE.

@rubber_jonnie
Hmm, quite tempting question...
I'm just afraid that if I install TRAMs there will be issues with the Alt-ram.
Maybe @Steve has the answer ?
Would you post a picture of your TRAMs ?
Thanks.

@HigashiJun you won't get any additional alt ram problems with the TRAMS, they run in their own little world outside of the Atari address space.

@HigashiJun These are the TRAMs
@Steve kindly supplied me:

And here they are installed on the ATW800/2:

I would add that there seem to be various different TRAM boards out there so the 'installed' image should not be considered a de-facto install, you should check how the modules you have install.
There should be a marker/arrow on the corner that lines up with a similar marking on the ATW sockets. They install in opposite ways.

@Steve, thank you for your confirmation.
@rubber_jonnie Your TRAMs look good !
If I manage to get my hands on a couple of reasonably priced TRAMs, I guess I will take the plunge.

I was not really in the mood today, but I had to do something during this humid summer day...
So here's the result of this intensive labour :lol: :
1.JPG
A switch to toggle between the 68000 and 68020 modes of the MonSTErbo !
I wanted this mini toggle switch to be hidden and not to protrude at the back of my STE.
It doesn't interfere with the mouse and joystick connectors either, so I'm pleased with the result.
Next step: find a suitable location for the LAN connector at the rear of my machine.
8-)
