I should point out this board is very much in the alpha-testing phase ATM. We're not 100% sure it's fully reproducing the performace of its DIP bretheren.

The way my switcher does it is to assert the HALT line on the CPU which you want disabled. This not only halts the CPU but the CPU also tristates its outputs.

IIRC HALT doesn't tristate the control lines, you need BGK for proper quiescence.

There is no way to completely disable a CPU without, at least, disconnecting some pins. Some signals are never tristated by the CPU, not even on reset, halt or with the bus relinquished.

As far as my STacy goes, I have a Pak 68/3 board sitting in there right now. Derkom has a TF board in his STacy.

I'm assuming (from the pictures) that the ST version of the PiSTorm is smaller than these boards. Is that correct?

It'd be taller than the TF536, even with Derkom's relocator board. You'd still need to relocate it so it would be three boards stacked rather than two.

You could save horizontal space by using a Pi Zero 2 instead of a full 3+, overclock it to 1.4GHz and fit a fan. It may be slightly shorter.

Ah, and there might be the problem. You have a little bit of space horizontally to play around with, in the STacy but not much
vertical space to use at all...

So it's the PiSTorm board itself, the Pi4 (or whatever version) and then...what is the 3rd board if it's not an STe? Thanks! :)

If you are wanting to install PiStorm using DIL socket, then there are two boards - the lower of the two, is the PiStorm board itself. On top of that sits the Raspberry Pi.
If you are using a Pi3A+ then that yields the lowest profile. If you are wanting to fit a Pi4, then because of the extra I/O (Ethernet/USB ports), then a GPIO header extender is needed, which raises the profile by another 8mm

from various angles with approximate measurements? With the PiSTorm +
Pi 3/4 together?
