I Imagine its all about loading game assets Jon, plus checking online for updates, etc. Who knows?

Well I've never had a console take that long to load a gamemrbombermillzy wrote: 27 Feb 2026 16:59 I Imagine its all about loading game assets Jon, plus checking online for updates, etc. Who knows?
Trials Rising
takes a long time to load on Xbox One primarily because the game constantly communicates with Ubisoft servers to load player ghosts, leaderboard data, and track information. These server dependencies, combined with the slower hard drive speed of the base Xbox One, cause significant loading delays.
That's a hard no from me then...mrbombermillzy wrote: 27 Feb 2026 17:53 Maybe get yourself a copy of 'Trials Fusion' or 'Trials Rising', then you will.
Edit: Here we are; AI is our friend in this case:

Indeed.
Yeah, there is an awful to to be said for cartridge based consoles that's for sure.mrbombermillzy wrote: 27 Feb 2026 19:15Indeed.
In fact, if the rest of the family hadnt of invested so much in the pricey games, I would have scrapped all this later gen console stuff and put in some older cart based consoles.
I mean, how can it be that a 1982 Atari 2600 can load a game in a few seconds and a modern console takes countless minutes excluding installation, which is also a thing nowadays. (Hang on, isnt that why I bought a console intead of a PC?)
Also, theres too much online nosiness involved for my liking.
People will probably say 'ah, hes a grumpy old git. Its not that bad.' whereas I would respond with: 'actually no, I have just been around long enough to notice that the situation is slowly gettting worse!'

Did you try a PAL ISO image?rubber_jonnie wrote: 28 Feb 2026 15:37 Well I tried to make a CDR for the PS1 but it failed, so either the MOD isn't working, or more likely being an older 3 wire type, it won't work with everything.
I can only assume whoever modded it did have some luck or there would have been little point in doing it. I'll see if I can find some older games that may work, but I do have a PSIO coming so I'm not overly concerned if it doesn't work.
I thought it was but I could be wrong, will try another later on.mrbombermillzy wrote: 28 Feb 2026 15:52Did you try a PAL ISO image?rubber_jonnie wrote: 28 Feb 2026 15:37 Well I tried to make a CDR for the PS1 but it failed, so either the MOD isn't working, or more likely being an older 3 wire type, it won't work with everything.
