Got some more time yesterday, will hopefully have time this afternoon/evening too, slowly ticking off the components on the list.

Hopefully I can get a load of capacitors and resistors etc in today, then it's a case of rifling through my parts bins to see what I've got in stock and making a list of what's missing, which I don't think will be too much.

ROM is ordered from exxos too, so hopefully not too much longer before I'm caught up.

The plan is to assemble first than patch once all the grunt work is done. That way I don't get distracted from assembly by the patching, and I can do one patch at a time as and when I get time.

So the box of parts is slowly emptying, and the board is progressing.

I think I've got all of the 1Uf capacitors done now, all the sockets are installed, and I've made a start on the resistors now. Once I finish them I'll move onto the diodes, and once I have no parts left in the box, I'll do a check through of what I need to finish off, as I think I may need some of the 74LS ICs and possibly some capacitors and an NE555. Oh yes, crystals, I need to get those too.

Once the build is done, I will work through the patches to finish off.

Will see if I can get some more done tonight, but I'm feeling the eye strain a little, despite the illuminated magnifier, which is well past it's sell by date! Thankfully I have a new one coming this week, as the mount to the workbench has broken and it's not in a good state.

Major update (NOT!) Optocoupler is now fitted......

Bit of a shopping spree (If you can call it that), have just ordered my missing 74LS chips, so I don't think I'm that far off now.

Transistors arrived today, so I need to get those and the remaining resistors and diodes in. Once the video output stage is done, I will install the video un-f*ck board.

I'm not going to bother with the external floppy connector un-f*ck board at present, because I don't actually have an external FDD I can test it with.

Hopefully I can be up and running with this pretty soon.

I thought I'd got the last of the IC's ordered for the board yesterday, then when I was soldering a few bits onto it last night I'm thinking "IC900, what's that? Damn, SN74F04N, I've forgotten to order that!"

Well that's corrected now and should be here by the time I've finished the soldering, which is just resistors and diodes now.
