ahhh, tell a lie. I'm using Hex Workshop Hex Editor (64 bit)... I did have winhex installed at some point, must have just not used it for some reason .

stumbled across this thread trying to find a 16<>32 bit rom interleave program

for 8<>16 bit (eg atari roms) you can use this freeware;

Looks to be a great program. Is there only in German or is there a English version available as well?

Looks to be a great program. Is there only in German or is there a English version available as well?

hit the 'sprache' (language) tab and select english.

I found another free rom tool that does more including word merge/splits here;
