I don't know if I'm missing something blindingly obvious, but I can't see to find any definitive information on how to set this thing up for the Atari. From some reading it seems as if the cable needs to be connected in reverse, and then I'm guessing switch 3 has to be ON instead of switch 1, but the documentation for individual machines is pretty shocking.

Ah, that does help a little. I've got the Rev A slim one, but that didn't specifcally say Atari / Amiga, just Shugart, and while I was pretty sure that was what I wanted I wasn't 100%. Not sure if a twsited cable means one that's been entirely reversed or one of those old PC floppy cables with a twist on a few lines.

Be really useful if those manuals indicated what green meant in the tables too! I can't seem to find a combination that works, so I'm guessing it's not the device. TIme to do some testing on the motherboard I suppose, and check the floppy cable and traces going to it.

@matt.lacey you have tried reversing the cable right? Atari floppy cables are upside down compared to standard drives.

Yeah, the connector is keyed but I had some handy pin headers lying around I could use to extend the pins of the emulator

Would have loved to take you up on that mate, but unfortunately I've moved back to the UK! Somewhere between Melbroune and here is where the STE stopped working.
