There's been lots of discussion on the Amiga about an A1200 port of this game done by the amazing coder Reassembler who has put in months of hard work, disassembling, translating, optimising the seemingly impossible port.

And then from "out of nowhere" comes two demos for the Atari STe and Falcon030.

The disassembly of sonic has been available for ages and then we get two great projects that use it as a base for each machines strengths.

Mr reassembler's project is well documented so it would be good to see how the author of the Atari ports went about it.

They are keeping their cards very close to their chests. They haven't posted the source only binaries.

Their avatar is of a French van. The repo's reference the Amstrad 8-bit sonic port, Amstrad's were very popular in France. I don't know if that points towards a French developer?

The "credits" hint towards an experienced coder and a manual programming process (but I could be wrong).
