RS232 WiRSA modem/PPP/SLIP question?

I had a caller to my BBS ask an interesting question. Honestly, I have no idea if it's
possible or not, so I thought I'd post it here. Here is the question they asked:

>I have a NetUSBee that I use whenever I want to connect to the net.
>Additionally, I have an RS232 WiRSA modem for BBSing.
>
>Now the modem does connect with my WiFi network and also can do PPP and
>SLIP, so I wonder:
>
>Is it possible to use the modem instead of NetUSBee to connect online and if
>so, what are the right settings in Sting to do so?

Thanks all.

At first I found the question very confusing (As all the Netusbee talk added no value) but now I realise he is asking:

"I have an RS232 WiRSA modem I use for BBSing. How can I configure it to connect to the internet, instead of just BBS, what would be the required Sting settings"

Don't get me wrong, not re-wording his question to be awkward, just trying to help you get an answer.

Right, that's what he meant - you adjusted the clarity knob a bit. ;)

I'll try to clarify the question here.

I have a working NetUSBee/Sting setup in my Falcon that allows me to connect to establish TCP/IP connections to internet addresses.
Recently I have connect a Wifi modem to the RS-232 port and looked to connect it via Sting to the Internet as well.

My thought is to have TCP/IP over RS-232, into the Wifi modem and then to the internet.

I played with Sting settings but could not get it use the RS-232 for this traffic.

Is it at all possible?

The question isn't really at the Atari end, it's at the modem end. How do you make it listen and route PPP properly? After that, it'd be a standard Sting setup.
