Atari SC1224 LOPT/FLYBACK issue

hello everyone
I used to have a working SC1224 but a month ago it suddenly stopped working (black screen and high pitch noise)
I assume it is the flyback transformer , I have searched in any place I could think of, but no luck
Has someone any idea where and how to fix it ?
Thank you in advance

Good morning and welcome to the forum.
Whilst I can't help from an repair point of view, from an admin point of view, I'd ask that you edit the post so that the images are uploaded in the attachments tab and placed in-line in your post.
The reason for this is they will often fail and the post then loses useful images, which is precisely what's happened here. This is my view of your post:

And as you can see your images are not showing. It also means that in the future if a photo hosting site goes down or is retired, the images can be lost and the post will lose potentially vital information.
To use attachments simply click on the 'Attachments' tab, click on the 'Add files' button and pick the images or files you want to attach:

Then position the cursor in the editing box where you want it to be and click 'Place in line' to put an image where you want it to be.
Thanks
Admin

@marag
Unless you explicitly know what you're doing, I wouldn't tinker with an old CRT monitor...
Better to find (if still exist) TV repair shops where they could surely help you.

thanks for the reply
yes I am about to take it next week to an old CRT repair guy (70 years old actually) , it would be my ultimate try ...

Very sound advice 👍

You're welcome.
No doubts the old veteran will get your CRT fixed.

Oh, and if the flyback is the issue, the replacement part can be found at:

But check the exact part number with the repair guy once he has dismantled your monitor.

Dönberg in Ireland can almost certainly sell you (or your repair guy) the correct flyback. But as others have suggested, if you don't know your way around inside a CRT monitor, get a pro to do the work. They're probably happy to have CRT work to do these days anyway! :)
