Just watched this during my lunch break, very interesting way to detect faulty caps. Not sure it can be applied to through hole caps though.

Yes I saw this too, I was amazed! I think it'd work with through hole as long as they're ceramic. I wouldn't try it on anything else.

I've used heat and cold for troubleshooting before, but usually with IC's, so very interesting to see it used for caps.
