Hi,
What options (other than the original CDTV keyboard) do I have to connect a keyboard to the CDTV?

I am looking at PS/2 PC keyboards that have the same pin signals, but I think its juts not a case of just wiring up a PS/2 plug to a CDTV mini DIN plug.

Can I use USB via some adapter?

Any Amiga big box keyboards (A1000, A1500, A2000, A3000, A4000) they all need a passive adapter to change the pinout as the pinout on the CDTV is different to all others.

Also any Amiga keyboard adapter + passive CDTV rewire adapter.

Personally I would buy an A500 USB adapter and fit an internal USB Bluetooth receiver. You could then use a wireless black keyboard.

There have been some discussions about a "holy grail" CDTV bluetooth adapter which includes keyboard, mouse, and joypad but so far no luck. You need two.

Ah thanks, this goes over into the CIA socket, when you said "I need two", how will two fit over the same CIA?

I think Amiga big box keyboards will be too expensive to buy, personally a "holy grail" adapter would be awesome.

I've just got a RGB2HDMI v2 which includes 2 db9 ports, one could be used for a mouse, but it would be nice to have USB for the keyboard and mouse and maybe have this inside the expansion port along with a SD card IDE adapter to use WHDLoad....... wishful thinking.

No I mean Big Box Amiga USB/PS2 keyboard adapters like : Lyra, SUM, TruMouse etc.

I don't know. I have been trying to convince the developers to "merge" the two projects but so far no luck. They are open source so in theory it should be possible.

I wanted one which supported, Keyboard, Mouse, 2x CD32 like Joypads.

Ash I see, the SUM adapter is available, just can't justify the price of £70 odd posted.

And like you said, the blue retro is just for joysticks.

Be good to have a usb adapter that works for mouse and keyboard. Then either plug in wired usb keyboard and mouse or use a wireless keyboard or mouse.

AH, thanks, the USB2Amiga and PCS2Amiga look interesting. Gives a base to make create a dual USB adapter. :D
