This is very random, but its been bugging me for quite a while now.

Ive noticed on several websites (including here, where Ive actually screen shot the effect) that sometimes an odd pixel appears on the web page.

Sometimes it flickers, sometimes it doesnt. Heres an example: (in the ? after 'case' and under the 'g' of cartridges'.)




Ive updated my browser (Firefox) to the latest, but to no avail.

Has anyone got any ideas? Ghost in the machine perhaps? :shrug:

Could be graphics card driver related? Also perhaps try turning off hardware acceleration in Firefox settings.

Does it do it in Chrome or Edge?

Definitely look like a video driver issue or something like that.

Bad graphics ram or overheating?

Ok, following my own instincts, Im going to try @Steve s suggestion, as it seems like it could be HW acceleration related, so will turn that off first.

Ive had this before on some old 3D cards. Its normally a bit more pronounced and theres generally a pattern. This is far more acute (and random).

I am using a fairly obscure (read light footprint) Linux distro, so it could even be some unusual bug, but I think its browser related.

Anyway, Im trying the first step as outlined above and will see how it goes.
