Need advice for my configuration

Hello, I've been going a little crazy lately and can't find an acceptable solution. I need your advice!

I have two Amigas at home: a CD32 and a 1200.

I installed a TF330 on my CD32 several months ago and I really enjoyed it. However, several games didn't work exactly as I wanted:
T-Zero had no music, and neither did Land of Genesis because of the CD32's atypical drivers. The performance of some 3D games wasn't quite up to scratch either: Alien Breed 3D 2, Genetic Species, Nemac 4... They're playable, but they're not super smooth either...

Anyway, weeks go by and I see that a TF360 exists! I ordered it twice (the post office lost a package -_-), I received it, and it was a complete shock: I can't get the TF360 to work with the CD drive. A real shame for me. Yes, you can get the CD drive to work by disabling the TF360, but in that case, goodbye to my CD games that require FastRAM, goodbye to Alien Breed 3D, goodbye to Genetic Species with its music...

An incredible disappointment... I'm even thinking about selling my new TF360...

What solutions do I have left to get everything working properly?

I started thinking about it and I thought that boosting my Amiga 1200 would possibly be the solution. Add a Pistorm for the boost and possibly a CD drive. So now I don't know if this is the right solution and what exactly I should get.

Pistorm32 with Pi3 or Pi4?

Does it allow CD player emulation? And if so, will the game audio tracks work? If not, should I buy a CD player? How do I connect it? Will CDTV and Amiga CD games work correctly in this case, and with CD music?

Can I continue to use the RGB audio output with the Pistorm32, not HDMI?

Thanks for your help anyway!

Late reply

Some games do NOT work with the 68060 cpu. I have the same thing in my Cyberstorm 060 50Mhz.

Do you have the LC or "full" 060 ? the LC seems to be a little more forgiving and you can turn of som of the 060 "features" and se what happends.

Also some games runs to fast with an accelerated Amiga even on a 020 with fast ram.

A solution might be some kind of "dual CPU" setup with the original CPU and the TF card. Dont know if that exists with CDTV you have to look around.

Why not use WHDLoad from the HDD?
Many games come pre tweaked with that setup.

I just put a PiStorm Pi4 in my 1200 with Caffeine OS and WHDload. The 68k emulator, EMU68 is bare metal so runs fantastically.

Very reasonably priced combo and great performance, I'd highly recommend it. It's emulating a 68040 but that seems to be a sweet spot.
