You're about a month late :)

Definitely a fun project and I applaud the developer.

IMO the FPGA is very small (hence the price) and to connect wired joypads you need an adapter board. All in you're looking at about £50.

There are some MiSTer clones in the pipeline that while not as cheap (£120) will offer significantly better bang for buck.

Oops, did I miss another post, sorry.

I have a couple of the Tang Nano 20K's here, they're a fun little piece of kit and there are number of nice projects available (I posted some time ago about MiSTeryNano an ST project, but there's also a C64 project, a VIC20, and a NES/SNES one).

Connecting peripherals depends on the project, most require an M0S dock for USB host support (6 quid on aliexpress), but some will present USB over gpio, or atari joystick over GPIO.

Agreed if you want to use the 25K variant it WILL cost a lot more as it's all via PMOD accessories and requires a DRAM module.
