I bought this recently. It turns a 'Bad' DMA (C025913-38) to a good one (C398739-001A). Since I have been following this for sometime but not for the last couple of years (I saw some updates) and after not having issues (I did the CPU change and full recap of PSU), will this actually help? (I was wondering to bring back the original CPU). Has anyone tried it or have an idea if it works?

If you're not having issues, how will you measure any difference if you don't have any issues? If the machine is running fine, why fiddle with it?

Do you have any links to the item as I think we'd all like to see the thoughts behind it.

Well, it's being a long since I did a mod on my STE! :lol: But yes, you got a point. If it works, don't touch it. I also read that some people installed it, nothing changed, but as soon as they changed the CPU, they got away with the DMA issues.

That's correct, that's what i noticed for my part. As soon as the CPU was changed, the DMA problem disappeared. I precise that beforehand, i changed the DMA chip for the latest for STE made by Atari, but it was not enough.
