TF1260 Floppy LED weirdness

Is the TF1260 meant to play with the floppy LED?

Total bare board 1.d.4 (not recapped) works as normal goes to 3.1 kickstart screen with the floppy LED off

with TF1260 installed it flashes the floppy LED during boot and when it goes to the 3.1 kickstart screen the floppy LED stays on

Does the same with hdd (internal) and floppy connected... it boots from internal IDE loadmodules ehide.device, reboots and loads off the higher priority drive attached to the TF1260 IDE when it's finished booting into workbench the floppy LED stays on.

I can't test with another A1200 mobo ATM as my 1.d.1 is off getting recapped and the other 1.d.4 I have is currently dead...

and now it's stopped booting off of the internal IDE and other general flakiness so probably gonna revisit this after a recap...

No, its not normal

Try applying the "timing fix" by removing the resistors at E123C and E125C on the underside of the motherboard, plenty of information on Google and YouTube on how/where/why. I have done this fix to my 1.D.4 board (along with a recap) and it works 100% stable.

Yeah I stripped the machine down to the mobo & bottom shield then added parts back on one at a time... the floppy light started acting weird before I got to adding the TF1260 this time... it seems to turn off if you pull on the led cable or push on the connector so maybe the TF1260 was flexing or straightening the board enough to cause the same problem... it works apart from the LED being on... and it's the next mobo I'm getting cleaned and recapped.

It turns off during reboot and doesn't turn on while I have the early boot menu up, just when it boots... dunno, I'll look into it further if the recap doesn't fix it.

This is not a symptom i've ever seen. Could be a bad solder joint somewhere
