A sad loss of a forum moderator

It is my deepest regret to inform that one of our moderators @DrF has sadly passed away :( I believe he was just 39 years old :( I really am in total shock about learning this :(

We used to chat daily about all sorts and he was a really nice fun fellow. He seemed to have constant bad luck (even worse than me) but he always seemed to take everything in his stride.

I had not heard from him for over a year. He has been off the forum for about three years now. He was going through a lot of crap in life at the time, so I just thought he was busy.

I sent a text message a few months ago with no reply. I tried sending him a Facebook request because I did not know he was on Facebook. It was not accepted for some weeks. So today I randomly messaged some people on his friends page around Birmingham where I knew he lived, and after much probing around I was sent a screenshot of his Facebook page wishing in a happy birthday in April, also with regrets.

The guy who I am currently chatting to went to school with him and he has only just found out as well. We are trying to find out more what happened to him currently. Though it seems he passed away due to Covid complications :( I remember him being knocked back a while ago with chest problems :(

R.I.P Matthew.

Oh boy, that's a tough one...

If you find a way to contact his family, please give them my regards... :(

I have currently found his sister-in-law and talking to her. I will point her to this page.
