[TF1260] Which FW for optimal compatibility ?

Hi people !
Newcomer here ! Been reading quite a few threads but I am not sure yet. I plan to get a TF1260 to replace my Blizzard 1230-IV. I tried the PiStorm32-lite but it was not for me apparently (great card & great support, but it was draining my attention too much because I had to constantly tweak and never knew if issues were due to the JIT settings or something else -- I was getting strange speed inconsistencies too).
I was wondering :
- which FW version was advised to get an optimal compatibility with old stuff ? like OCS demos & games... The "official" version (1000) that resellers usually keep, or the latest (68090) ?
- what is your opinion about compatibility with old titles / whdload games & demos ?
This is my only Amiga and I was wondering whether I could get the best of both worlds (old stuff but also 060 demos & games) on the same machine.
Cheers & thanks so much for the massive efforts put into the project ! :-)

Always use the latest. We test we didnt break things. I'm not aware of anything not working at the moment.

Hi ! Thank you so much for your prompt & positive reply ! :)
Just to make sure I understood properly : you mean there is no incompatibility compared to some former classic 1260 boards, or do you mean : you are not aware of WHDLoad titles not working correctly ? :)
Best regards

I'm not aware of any issues with the TF1260. I've no idea how it compares to older classic boards as I dont have any of them.
EDIT: That said i will fix anything that anyone finds if it possible to do so. But in general compatibility always improves with each release. Otherwise we dont release.

Hi !
Order placed :-) Thank you so much for your efforts ! Hopefully my ultimate long-term hardware upgrade !! :-)
I asked AmigaStore to put the latest firmware on my board (rev. 1000 by default). (I don't think I can update myself - I just have a Linux PC at home)
take care

A RaspberryPi will do the updating for you, and it's easy as if you have a basic understanding of linux. A RaspberryPi Zero W with wifi will do the trick, and they're cheap!

Hmm, no more Pi at the moment but good to know, if a further update happens to be released ! Current release is marked as "final" though ;-)
Thank you !

Also next time you can buy an official card from one of the builders, as we will be happy to update it for you for free whenever needed.

Well, I ordered from AmigaStore.eu, is that an official reseller ? They said they'd update it for me !
Also I have noticed Vesalia offers an alternate version of the 060, XC68060RC50, is that a good choice ? (Too late for me, order placed with the LC version at AmigaStore.eu)
Cheers !
