JLCPCB import VAT collection

I've mentioned this chaos before in other threads. Though it seems "Import of goods with an intrinsic value of more than EUR 150 will still be operated in accordance with the previous import customs clearance mode." Which kinda sucks.

I don't see the point of the £135 limit. It makes things a lot easier and quicker to pay VAT up front via JLC. But ordering over £135 I end up paying it myself as like olden times.

So keeping my order under £135 makes life easier for me.

It does make it easier that they do collect it in advance as it saves the ridiculous scenarios that used to occur when the likes of Royal Mail would charge you £7 for the pleasure of paying the duty.
