Does anyone know of a 4mb ram kit or PCB design for the c103175 R1 mobo? I was thinking along the lines of the kit in the store (#20).

I have seen https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/atari/store2/#0035 (marpet types) soldered onto the MMU. But you need patience of a saint and a very steady hand and a lot of soldering experience to pull that off I think.

I have a vague recollection someone did that with my kit, but don't really remember if it was posted on the forum or not.

At one point I was designing a different board where the RAM was on the shifterboard ( I half remember seeing some similar types years ago) but they use a lot of bodge wires to the MMU. I had a quick look and cannot find any PCB's in mid-design. but I likely abandon the idea because it was too much of a faff to install anyway.

I recall the same.

That confirms what I thought tbh. I've made a couple of false starts on designing a PCB but wasn't happy with my measurements of chip/via placement on the board - most likely as I didn't desolder the existing ram which got in the way. I'm ok at soldering and desoldering but I couldn't be bothered with a marpet 😀

Troed did this on his 103175. Similar on a Mega 1 board but you have more room there.

A good idea if I can find the chips. It might be nice to have a future proof footprint though, independent of the ram available iyswim
