Sorry for borrowing @rubber_jonnie's catchphrase. I was trawling eBay last week and saw two interesting pieces of Atari-History and had a quick "best offer" never expecting to be instantly accepted. I probably offered too much?

Atari ST 520 STM "Shorty" UK, boxed with pretty much everything it came with. A little yellowed. And it's corresponding SF314 double sided disk drive. (The SF354 was single sided not following the "bigger is better numbering schemes of the time.)

Please forgive my ignorance but I didn't know "short" ST's existed until someone brought one to Cyberlegend's last year. From then I've been looking to acquire one. I was looking for the cheapest scruffiest one I could. However what I've ended up with is as close to "museum" quality as I've ever owned.

A bit of a clean, a test, add something like an ASCI2SD adapter. I was thinking of putting a GoEx in the SF314 but it seems a crime to disassemble it.

Wow! That ST+floppy drive bundle looks like it was meticulously cared for.

Well done @alexh

I believe the vendor was selling it as part of a house clearance. They didn't seem to know anything about it. Perhaps that is why they accepted my offer? I never thought it would be accepted and when it was I was like "I should have offered less" :)
