New CT63 "walk through"

All,

I finally acquired all components for my CT63 install. I have read and read all the different thoughts and opinions of those that are obviously much better versed than I.

Can someone put together a step by step process from the install and install concerns to software that is needed to maximize this upgrade. What to look for, what to do etc. At the end of the day I want to run in Mint, but definitely want to have and run quake/doom/duke nukem/worms etx.. games of yesterday that utilize the horsepower of this CT63

As I am in poor health, I need confirmation and direction so I can get this done safe and properly.. any help so much appreciated, I follow instructions well:)

Thank you all..

If you have read it all, then you don't need any further information. :-)

There's nothing to "maximise" this upgrade, this upgrade is already awesome.

http://www.tho-otto.de/hypview/hypview. ... h/ct60.hyp contains everything you can ask for.

Express guide would be:

- boot into 030 mode
- install NVDI & CT60CONF.CPX
- make sure that the "delay 5s cache" is OFF
- boot into 060 mode
- install freemint from https://freemint.github.io/#snapshots
- done?

I've not follow any past post you may have made.
Which way did you go with a power supply?
Other than that, the CT's are pretty much plug and play.
If you use XCONTROL.ACC, be sure to have the patched version installed (it's backwards compatible.

The most important thing is to check, check and triple check you have the CT setting correctly on the expansion pins.

Does it have a CT adjustable clock (CTCM) or use a single oscillator?

I originally went with the centurion power supply... but it failed. Sent my machine to Wizztronics and they sourced me a new and better power supply

@koji77

NVDI 5
If your CT63 has a micron M29F800FT flash chip installed, then this version.
