Couldn't resist to get a Neo Geo AES for myself after having repaired one for a work colleague...


I have already bought a second controller, a "161 in 1" rom (v2), the last version of the famous Unibios and other stuff.

These were the best consoles to have back in the 90's...

I plan to do some mods and have some fun with it, since I could never afford to buy this jewel as a kid.

Actually, I don't. For some reason they've never appealed to me, but I think they are super cool.

I always wanted one when I was a kid, but then I never thought of it again until 3 days ago, when I repaired one...

Don't know how to explain that, but I had some kind of thrills when I saw its sexy PCB. :lol:

Metal Slug is definitely a worth playing game, and there are some cools mods to perform on the console.

I would love to own one but the costs involved make it prohibitive. I do have the metal slug series on emulator though

I was lucky as the one I bought was not so expensive (I personally do not care about original boxes and other fancy stuff, so a bare console in a good shape is the way to go).

Games are not cheap on the other hand, hence the "161 in 1" cart I bought, even if some games might be buggy.

You have also the option to buy a NEOSD AES, but you can get 2 NEO GEOs for its price (and I do not mention the PRO version)...

I also used to play MS series on emulator, but IMHO the real Mc Coy is always better.

Oh there’s no doubt about that. I love playing games on my Saturn and Dreamcast, even the N64 and GameCube. Starting to build a bit of a console collection.

I’ll get a Neo Geo at some point and a multi cart as well (got a 200 in 1 or whatever it is on the N64)

Have to say that Metal Slug on Saturn is brilliant, and the Pseudo Saturn Kai has opened up a whole new world for me.

I suspect next will probably be a PC Engine, but not sure. Need to keep my eyes open for one. I quite like the idea of a Neo Geo Pocket Colour too as I have a nice little collection of handhelds, including a couple of Gamepark machines, a GP32 and a GP2x.

As for Gamecube, I have an early Wii with Gamecube compatibility, which does save some space.

That AES is super cool looking though...

Trouble is that I just feel the need to sit down after looking at prices.
