Well, I had to get down to the things I bought in the @exxos store. For starters, the ST 16MHz BOOSTER 2021 with TOS206 decoding went.
I connected as in the picture,
i.e. from the forced 8MHz mode. The computer does not start and does not decode TOS206. Did I connect something wrong?

I also connected like this, still forcing 8Mhz and running the wire to GND

You don't have a CPU for starters..

I have :) but factory. I'm testing 8MHz for now. When it starts, it will solder the 64-pin socket. I bought a 68k processor working at 16Mhz from exxos store.

Will it not run in 8Mhz mode and dual TOS (TOS 2.06 decoder) on the factory CPU?

I really don't know what you are doing with that CPU. It looks like you are soldered the connectors on the original CPU put the booster on top ? That is not how you're supposed to do these things. You could have killed something doing that.

Also the DUALTOS board will only work with 104 setting on a stock CPU. I don't know what ROM you have, you need 104/206 ROM. The jumper has to be in the correct place..

You can solder the solder pad on the DUALTOS board to use GLUE decoding to test the original CPU functions.. If it doesn't then I don't know. You could have killed the original CPU, got a bad connection on the ROM, got the wrong ROM (one which does not have 104). Bad connection elsewhere. Could be anything.

Afraid my time is extremely limited at the moment. So I cannot go into in-depth diagnostics with you. Maybe someone else has the time.

TOS 1.04/206 purchased from exxos store, other stuff too. The processor has a soldered socket and works fine with other extensions.
The 68PIN CPU sockets should arrive today. Will hunt and see.

But with this connection, why would I damage anything? most have extensions connected like this.

Did I just read that bit I have highlighted in red right? Which socket is not soldered? If it's not soldered, I'm not sure how you expect it to work?

I would go back to the start and make sure the machine is running fine with TOS 1.04 and the booster removed, so essentially stock, otherwise you're trying to run up hill.

Then follow the installation instructions exactly.

Well, do not exaggerate :) I approached the matter as it should be. As in the picture. The board has a socket CPU, the dualtos adapter has tos 1.04/2.06 mounted.
TOS 1.04 with only the CPU starts fine.
we have a separate cpu with soldered pins and the assembly is correct because I connect the AT286 emulator and everything works.
We also have assembled 16MHz BOOSTER & TOS206 DECODER

And for starters, I wanted to check if it works, so I bridged to force 8Mhz, connected 8MHz to GND, CE from BOOSTER to CE of the DUALTOS adapter.

But it doesn't start. I'm looking for a reason.

Hi,

From your pictures you are connecting the Booster / Decoder board incorrectly. It is designed to fit into the motherboard 68K socket and then the 68K CPU slots into the decoder board on top. See second picture in the instructions. https://exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopi ... 216#p56216

The decoder is not designed to plug directly on top of the CPU. I suggest soldering a set of SIL sockets onto the decoder board slot the CPU in and connect up.
