Hi folks,

A little firmware update to fix the issue with the disable jumper on the TF360.

For those interested what was happening is that when the 060 is running BR20 is held low. The Bus CPLD relies on it being low for 060 and high for 020. What I had missed is that during CD access the drive pulls BR20 low also (which suddenly enabled the 060). So i've fixed this to latch the BR20 signal when the reset line is asserted and use that for 020/060 selection in the bus CPLD.

a very important future for me! some report that the sd drive is causing problems. Have you tested this? Thanks for your great products, this card in the CD 32 was always my dream!

The CD drive has issues still but only with the 060. It can work perfectly sometimes and not at all others. However IMHO given that 90% of games will fail with an 060 anyways (because of libraries being out of date etc) its probably better to just switch off the 060 when you want to use the CD drive. Its not like a 2x CD drive is good for much anyways.

I will fix the CD drive completely eventually but i need to clear the 4060 off the bench first. Its a real time sink switching between machines. E.g. its just a question of priority rather than unwillingness to fix.

I meant the TF360 that you brought up after all. Well, I think you can do a lot with the 2x cd rom, just all the amiga games with CD audio are cool (Alien breed 3d 1, Genetic species, Quake 1+2, etc). There is also an os 3.2 kickstart for the cd32. But yes, the tf4060 should have priority.

for me, the cd32 was the only multimedia computer in the mid-90s when i was a kid, around 13-15, so it has a special meaning for me, because of the compact form i love it until today. Playing Quake 1 natively on it just feels special! ;)

I updated my R2 last night.
Only had time for a quick test, so I tried the Disable 060 and booted from CD. That all works so I will now solder my disable switch in (not that I am going to be disabling the TF360 often :) .
@terriblefire I like the extra detail given on CPUSpeed with Firmware version etc given.

Can't wait for the TF4060, my 4000 is the slowest Amiga in my room :lol:

@terriblefire is it possible to have the original Firmware that the R2 Beta cards were shipped with, where CDROM did not work?

I seem to be now stable at only ~62Mhz and some demos are not working. With the original Firmware I could stay at 75Mhz for hrs.

I've got a good RPi Firmware flashing setup, so I would like to flash the original to rule out any software changes made to my CF card image.

I have noticed that on the tf360r3, when using loadmodule to soft kick the kickstart modules from OS3.2.2 (V47.111), the system doesn't boot after the loadmodule induced reset, it requires a secondary reset using the CD32 reset button to then boot. Tested on both an R3 and R4 cd32 board. If I create a custom ROM 47.111 ROM using romsplit and remus and burn that to a 27C800 it does boot straight up as loadmodule is not required.
Happy to report the enable disable jumper is working perfectly here.
