What's an Atari blitter worth?

Just a quick question, what do we all consider the true value of an Atari ST glitter chip? They are listing for 75 - 100 quid a pop on eBay. Surely they aren't worth that much?

Well, considering that the Atari ST "glitter" chip is quite rare, who knows?

Seriously, Best Electronics (assuming they do have them in stock) has them listed
like this:

C101643 / I60611 / MM9092V (ST / Mega / STE Blitter) $40.00

Hope this helps...

No real source of them anymore. BEST is likely the only source now. But by the time you got postage and (assume) import costs. its probably more like £80 to get 1 from BEST. Better value to get more than one but still going to work out probably like £60 a pop.

Alternative is by a STE and hope it as a external blitter. I mean 50:50 chance I guess.. But by two or three machines and it works at more expensive.

I have a similar problem with scrapping machines as the majority of them have soldered down MMU,GLUE etc. So no idea what to do with them :(

But this is all why we are trying to recreate a cycle accurate chip. Still likely will not be cheap. But at least it is a start.

I have some brand-new ones for £100 a pop if anyone is interested :D

@exxos I thought you'd exhausted your supply of blitters?

I've probably got 3 or 4 spare that so far I don't have any plans for.

I kept a few back when I realised I could not get them any more. But this is for my own personal stock more than anything because I need spares for my own machines etc so indeed not for sale unless the price is right ;)

Sell um ;) I think there were knocking around £50 in my store last time I sold some.

I have yet to register to one of those “Freight Forwarders" which is the mean recommanded buy BEST to reduce shipping cost before ordering anything.
