I drove through a river

So there I was, casually driving along at 70mph downhill on the backstreets to nowhere. When all of a sudden I'm in a bloody river ! I mean, you have to defend for yourself around here. No warning signs. No road markings of any kind. Just a river which literally and intentionally is running across the road! I dread to think what its like when it's actually been raining.

It is a river not a puddle. Both sides of the road its flowing. It flows across the road. Its intentional as notice the bricks in the road.Assume it was wash away tarmac after a while. When we get heavy rain the road looks like we just had a meteor shower

I think you call that a ford in English.

Here's another one in France:

Yup, a ford. If that's big in France you should see the fords in Victoria in winter. Not that I'm measuring or anything. Full disclosure a lot are drier than a dead Dingoes dongah in summer though.

Usually there is at least a depth gauge.

Don’t drive through this one, looks just as tame but a wee bit deeper!
