Hey everyone. Not sure if this is the correct spot for this, so sorry if it is not.

I have a TT with 4 megs of st ram, and no TT ram(not sure if it makes a difference, but throwing it out there). I'm trying to run ghost link connected to a win7 box running dosbox. I have a USB to serial adapter(Prolific) set to COM3. I have configured dosbox to use com3 for serial and it shows "serial: opening com3" at startup. I mounted c: c:\atari in dosbox and started pcslave.exe from there.baud is set to 19200. On the TT I have xcontrol installed and set modem 2 to 19200. Started Ghostlink software, set to use modem 2 at 19200 baud and mapped c to z. Now, in tos when trying to add the z drive, under options in the menu bar I click install devices and the Z drive shows up. Click to open it and I get the busy bee cursor and nothing happens. The TT just hangs and I see nothing happening in dosbox either. Any ideas?

How are you connecting the serial cable is it direct or do you have a crossover or null modem cable in between to make the correct connections between the TT and PC?

Null modem cable from TT into the USB serial adapter on the PC.

Just stating the obvious here, https://joy.sophics.cz/parcp/parcpusb.html is a far better solution for this task.

I saw that before. Only 2 problems. Money is tight right now and a USB serial cable was far cheaper. And if I was gonna spend the money, a netusbee cart would be the way to go.

Up to you of course but from my personal experience I can tell you that PARCP-USB gets used 99% of time I need to transfer some file. And I own pretty much every hardware addon for data transfer, incl. the NetUSBee but nothing beats the simplicity of the PARCP setup. :)

I would recommend SerialDisk as an alternative to GhostLink: https://github.com/z80andrew/SerialDisk

SerialDisk emulates a folder on a PC as a FAT16 disk drive on an Atari computer running TOS via a serial link. Simply put, it provides an easy method to transfer files between a PC and an Atari ST/TT/Falcon.

Ghostlink does a similar job, but is tied to older PC architectures, and so is incompatible with newer versions of Windows and other operating systems such as Linux. By using .NET, SerialDisk can run on Windows, Linux and other operating systems.

Is there a way to drag and drop a folder at a time from the PC/Mac to the ST hard drive?
