Aside from the usual evil bay outlets and mainstream supplies ramping up the prices of it lately, I wonder people would actually purchase it if I sold it in my store ?
I don't know how useful this would be for people, but generally solder is required with just about everything, it may help people.. Or not..

I think that people starting this hobby and having to start soldering stuff may buy that with some of the kit (recap kits, reset) once they are remainded that vintage computer use leaded solder (and that it does not mix well with leadfree solder, learned that by experience instead).
Now I have bought a small quantity that will be enough, as the other thing I do are leadfree.
(ha yes, it may be usefull if your latest batch of h5 use leaded hasl finish instead of leadfree, and if your kits like the dualtos STE also has leaded finish, because it will need a lot more leaded solder...)

I would almost certainly use it. I had fun and games trying to get some previously, and though I did find a supplier, I'd rather buy from you.
However, that being said, I do have stock for now.
Mind you, Given I have a number of build projects on the cards for next year, that stock may be short lived!

I'm using some leaded solder at the moment but would prefer to buy from your shop that other, less reputable/reliable suppliers if that were to become an option!

The stuff I would sell would only be quality stuff manufactured in the UK for example.

Leaded solder is definitely banned for things like water pipes, but I have bought leaded rosin electronic solder with no problems in the last year, so not really sure.
it is becoming harder to find though, and I see a lot of solder advertised as leaded that actually isn't.

I may recommend this solder:
https://www.cynel.com.pl/en/products/117-pb60sn40-sw26
It is about 20PLN (€5) for 100g.

lots of mainstream suppliers are still selling it. But they seem to be "reluctant" to do so and the prices are always increasing.
I think lead was banned for new equipment under the RoHS directive. The "workaround" repairing old items typically need leaded solder AFAIK. I guess would also would fall under the whole "right to repair" thing as well if leaded solder were banned totally. I think there would be a bit of a uproar if the European commission decided to obsolete everything made before like 2002! Though I would not put that past them really

I have been talking to my supplier about reselling solder. It is certainly possible, but they told me the price of tin has risen significantly over the past year. It has pretty much put the price of the solder up by about 40%! :(
It is on the cards for me supplying the smaller 250g reels when the market prices return to a more sane level. But as to when this actually will be...
Incidentally, I would not really be looking at supplying 500g reels, mostly because of the outlay cost and the storage requirements etc. but also with the rise in postage costs, keeping the weight down is really a must these days. Aside from that, a 500g reel lasts me ages. So I don't think the regular customer will go through 250g reel all that fast anyway.
