STE TO DIP ADAPTER FOR ST536

People keep on complaining they cannot get such a adapter. So I just found the alpha boards I made. I have about five of them. If people are interested in causing themselves huge amounts of pain then I will put them in my store. This is a Alpha board only and was never intended for sale. It has only been tested on my machine. They are being sold "as is" only. Without warranty or support.
These are four layers with the bus pullups and a clock buffer. These are designed to be plugged into the PLCC socket. like you will need a "dummy CPU" (which I cannot provide as my printer is still busted) and there is currently no way to fix this down ( again it was never intended as a final version or sellable version) . So if you buy this you also accept all the related problems to it as well.

I am currently trying to find how this fitted in the STE.. It is in my blog *somewhere*.

Are these are the fit-inside-the-socket ones that need a 3D printed plug? If so, I'm keen. Assuming they're not going to be
one million pounds!

I think these do fit inside the socket. They just need a plastic square printing the correct size to stop the pins from bending inwards.
I will supply the CPU header pins as they seem to be gold dust in finding. So once the pins are soldered in (and a 68K socket) you are pretty much good to go.

Sounds ideal. :)
I was going to have to investigate making one myself anyway as when I get around to tinkering with my STE, I'll need to break out the CPU pins somehow.

I might grab one of these to play around with... don't mind a little pain.

I feel this opens a door to a whole new STE experience.
Will they come, as final product, ready to be used in a plug and play way?

Nope. PCB only sold "as is". It's not a final product and probably never will be. I am only selling them because people kept pestering about it, I personally don't really have any interest in it.
