I replaced the old not functional bat with a CR2032 socket and bat. Now for test if this real works, whats tool can use for setup clock? need to clean the nvram? Regards!!!

The TT’s clock battery is 6 volt and not 3 volt so the CR2032 won’t run it correctly.

It’s better to get a 4xAAA battery holder and solder the original leads to it making sure that you have the correct polarity.

I’ll post a picture on mine later.

I thought the original TT battery was a Tadiran TL-5242/W, 3.6V Lithium

EDIT: Just checked my TT and I had indeed replaced the original with a 3.6V which has been working fine

I used one of these cheap Xeno batteries and just swapped the connector to match the TT.

Do some have 3.6V and others 6V? My TT's original battery was most definitely 6V.

@stephen_usher it seems the RTC chip is rated at 3V - 6V.

Perfect thx for the tips I think is my problema CR I get 3.2v and I need 3.6v . The original one is a Aa rated 3.6v now what tool you use for adjust clock time ? And with the bat can power the internal speaker ? This one is not get sound. I tested the speaker with a Little aa bat in positive and negative and I get sound. Regsrds

Older ATARI TT have a 6V Battery (PGA CPU) and newer with SMD CPU have a 3,6V Battery ...

The speaker doesn't need the battery in there but you may have lost the volume setting in the NVRAM.

I just set the clock using XCONTROL.ACC as you would on an ST.

Nice adapter but with 3xaa bat is like 4.5v mine is apparently 3.6v. I tried to use xcontrol the volume is right but the weird stuff if itry to change time I can enter the new time but can't escape from this , the only way is power off. I try to make a video for show . Regards

As noted earlier, the clock chip can handle 3.6V - 6V so they're both fine.

My one is actually 4xAAA batteries, so 6V, as was my original lithium battery pack.
