Evening all,

My H5 C1 is now up and running very nicely, so I'm now considering selling on my H5 A3. No idea of price or what it's actually worth but I am considering selling it on to the right person, maybe someone who wants an H5 but maybe doesn't have the skill to build their own? you tell me? I've had fun building it but the C1 gets more use now.

Spec as follows:
  • H5 A3 motherboard with all fixes and all CPU sockets fitted.
  • Sound module amplifier fitted.
  • No external ASCI socket due to CF adaptor fitted in its space.
  • 4mb ram via simm socket.
  • Blitter fitted.
  • VGA socket fitted instead of Atari monitor socket.
  • Internal Gotek drive with OLED screen fitted.
  • S2 midi module fitted.
  • TF536 128mb flashed with most stable Atari firmware.
  • Exxos Rom Decoder.
  • 4GB CF Flash card connected to TF536 IDE port
  • 1.44mb Gal fitted for 1.44mb Gotek images.
  • EmuTOS V1.1.1 & Tos2.06 switchable roms.
  • Audio out for Atari sound and S2 sound module via 3.5mm Jack at rear of case.
  • Case in reasonable condition but a little yellowing, not much though.
I may also have a similar spec Mega 2 upgraded to TF536 etc as well soon if there's any interest. All mandatory fixes fitted etc.

Nice build @PhilC.

A great purchase for anyone but especially an opportunity for someone who doesn't have the skills or parts to build but would like the opportunity to own a solid ST.

Just a quick note, to use this computer on VGA you will need either a monitor capable of 15khz or something like a scan doubler or gbs8200

I think price of these things is something @Icky and I have been talking on and off about for a while..

I think the board alone was like £50.. I think there was around £150 on basic parts. Then about £100 to get a doner ST.. Time de-solering stuff or buying new stuff form my store probably will add on £50 either way. £50 for time soldering it up easily. Blitter gold dust at maybe £50. Gotec are like £50 not idea. S2 module like £50 ? TF536 probably £150... so rough guess it totals like £700 ?

The cost for the parts I used for this machine is believe it or not around £300 without labour time. I got 5 STF boards for £30 a while back, which is not possible now.

If I was to build it again now it'd likely be around £500 because of the increased cost in some parts, like the blitter, the H5C1 board etc etc.

When I built @philbo34s H5 I think it was around £90 worth of parts on top with no blitter.

So this machine really is a one off as future stuff will be a lot more expensive.
