I got my board a couple of days ago but I was waiting on a few parts to show.
I have the board mostly built, I need to remove the cartridge port from my donor board and I will add more sockets for expansion.


I am waiting on a Blitter still, it works but I need to figure the ROM decoder board.
I did a quick Gembench CPU test.


I think I also need a different cable to get color.

Looking forward to some of the upgrades that can be added, right now it feels slow compared to my Mega STE but I hope to change that.

I am trying to figure out the best method for removing the cartridge port from my donor board, the Shifter, DMA chip and MIDI ports were easy to remove.

I took way longer than it should to remove the cartridge port, I think my desoldering tool sucks, just not well enough.

I got some more parts in the mail today, an Exxos PSU and some other small parts.
I also got side tracked and bought a really clean Silicon Graphics O2 today, I always wanted one, now I have four Atari St computers, 3 Amiga, a NeXTStation and will soon have my first SGI.

Now with new improved PSU.


And a quick test to verify it still works.


My back is acting up too much to solder anymore sockets right now.

I have had a lot of fun building this board, thanks for the great job creating this remake board.

I was 25 when I bought my first Atari ST back in 1985, I mostly wanted to play with CAD programs and other graphics software.
One of my brothers even made a CNC controller for a 1040 ST and then converted a manual mill too machine cases for an Enduro racing computer he designed. I have the mill in my workshop but sadly all the stepper motors and CNC controller are gone now.

Here is the Enduro computer, case was machined from a solid block of Aluminum by an Atari ST, crappy photo was taken back in the 80's, I believe the manual was done in Pagestream.
