I have looked around the board and come in contact with a term "Birdseed" when talking about some tf boards. What exactly is Birdseed? I think i know that they are components on the board but what are they for? Is it something to do with randomgenerator ?

Terriblefire startred the term.. I started to use the same term.. It just means all generic stuff is fitted such as small caps and resistors etc.. Which look like..well..birdseed on the PCB.

A birdseed board is very helpful as the PCB assembler has done a lot of the work for you, thus leaving you with minimal or the larger type of components to assemble yourself.

I would like to make a complaint.

I purchased one of these boards for my hanging feeder outside.

All it did was just give the poor birds beak ache and they never came back again. I was very puzzled to find the board contents were untouched, apart from the socketed 68060 that I was shocked to watch being fished out and stolen by a magpie.

Im not very happy about this. I want a full refund.
