A2000 Rev4 with TF536

Hi to all, i have the A2000 Rev4 board with 68010P10 CPU and GVP zorro2 SCSI card with 8mbyte ram on board, the TF536 is compatible with my board and GVP installed at the same time?

The amount of ram is the sum of Zorro2 board and TF536 board (64+8) ?

What i need for my A2000 to install TF536? And where i buy this card and not cloned?

Thanks

Emanuel

I have tested a TF536 with a GVP (once) and it worked. But there are no guarantees. Rev 4s need modifications to work with a TF536 IIRC.

For purchase someone on the forum e.g. @go0se will sort you out.

Thanks terriblefire for fast response and thanks for all fantastic cards.

The modification on A2000 Rev4 Board are on PCB soldering modification? And if i remove the TF536 the A2000 works again or i need to revert modification?

Modification and soldering is no a problem for me, but i need info to modification needed first, how i find it?

Thanks

@8 Bit Dreams and @alenppc have posted details about the mods here.. maybe they can help.

If you just want to solder the card yourself the only place you can buy it is the shop on this forum.

But i have to point out.. if you use the GVP ram it will slow your machine down. The idea with the TF536 is it would have more ram than you ever need.

Ok, and in this case i remove totaly the GVP card or remove only RAM on GVP board?

Thanks for links

Unless you really want to use a SCSI drive i wouldnt bother with it .

Ok i have understanded...i will remove SCSI card because with the TF and ide the system is very fast and 64mb memory very high value.

I thought that the changes were to be made on the A2000 motherboard but I understood that the changes are to be made on the TF

we @ www.a1k.org spent a lot of time this year with A2000,
because A2000 is also affected by leaking Baterries just like A3k & A4k
a remake board from Floppie209 was created as a result:
https://github.com/Floppie209/Amiga2000-remake
this recreation contains all fixes Commodore ever released for A2000 boards,
also +5V power rails was beefied up to assure stable functions even with fully loaded units

You can apply these fixes also on rev.4.x boards, in my humble opinion this will help you to solve some of them
You can find some intstructions with pictures here for example:
https://wiki.sigpipe.me/amiga:a2000:rev6.2fixes

These fixes will not qurantee that all Your issues with 4.x boards dissapear
especially if some vias and sockets are still corroded, You should really check and repair battery damages first!

Also DO NOT POPULATE:
C902, C917, R901, FB904, FB906, RP904, RP906, RP905, C230, C240, they are unpopulated on factory 6.2 rev, so, let them as-is
in my case ive also swapped RP604 to 470 Ohm

You can use A2000 locator that our user @chucky created to compare Your 4.1 board with latest 6.x:
http://locator.reamiga.info/locator.php?project=A2000

I shipped quite a few of these to A2000 users and none have had to do any motherboard modifications. You just need to remove the 68010 CPU out of its socket, and your GVP most likely won't work so remove that too. You can buy a preassembled board from me also or a blank one from the exxos store.
