I've managed to get my build of a TF536 working today, and I'm extremely happy. Also the first time I've managed to hand solder SMD with that small a pitch with a 0.2mm tip.

Thanks to some hints in this forum I managed to figure out that some dry joints on the memory buffers were causing it not to boot kickstart. In DiagROM manually editing the RAM and refreshing showed where the issues were.

That's OK, I was clearly drunk when I first soldered those buffers, even missed the dry joints under a scope :D

I actually started with a TF534. Bought a dead one cheap where someone managed to badly damage the xtal and the PCB traces around it, after repairing that I wanted to try one from scratch :)

Only been an Amiga user since August when I decided to repair a bunch of dead A500/A500+ machines and am loving it.

But seriously though, a huge thank you for the TF534 and TF536. Both very nice boards and I wouldn't want to use my Atari without them.

Definitely second that, TF534 was an excellent upgrade, TF536 was even better and a lot easier to build, :cheers: terriblefire
