Can people make note of what brand / style of DB19 they are fitting vs the "overhang" on the board. The ones I sell in my store end up being a couple of mm "out" compared to the DB25s.. In that normally they overhang the PCB by a couple of mm.. But I noticed the DB19s I use (from my store) are actually a couple of mm out (they are flush with the pcb and no overhang)..

If in general people are finding them without the overhang, I will move the DB19 up a couple of mm to keep it in line with the DB25. Though if any sockets already have the overhang, and I move it, its going to have the reverse problem in sticking out 2mm more than the DB25.

OTOH I may compromise and move it 1mm.. but with so many styles out there, I think it may be better to see what people have in general out there. I likely may move it to fit the ones in my store, simply due to "one day" I hope to build these up complete so id be fitting ones in my store anyway..

Original STFM board DB19 is Foxconn 81G09


H5 DB19 is Foxconn DTI 11021 and is flush against the board


I'll take the 81G09 off the board and see what it looks like on the H5.

The holes for the pins needs to be moved. Does all the original boards have the same location for DB19?

All D-Sub must have the same standard specs? Even if it is DB9, DB19, DB23 or DB25?

Its the style of socket which changes a lot, theres another post on this already.. but there is no simple way to do a "one size fits all" location.

I have found with the sockets that are flush by applying some pressure it can be pushed forwards on the H5 and soldered in. Basically it’s making the pins be at more of an angle and the anchor lugs hold it in place.

So even the Foxconn 81G09 is flush on the H5.

Pretty sure the one on my H4 is a Foxconn, I will check mine and report back later.
