I have one of the TT's with the dual fans. One on either side. I am in the process of re-capping the PSU and the fan flow is pretty clear as its the original fan I am replacing and it flows outwards from the TT. However the other fan on the SCSI side has already been replaced and looks to be flowing inwards into the TT.

Does anyone have an original of this model or knows on the correct flow direction for the additional fan (non-PSU).

Hi @Icky it is most likely both fans draw air in i have seen PC done with the push pull arrangement and it makes it noisy and you get hot spots.

My MSTE draws air out of the case at the PSU which follows your PSU arrangement, so that PSU as you say is likely correct.

I'd expect both fans to exhaust air that's drawn in out the back to maintain a relatively even airflow from front to back, which is the way most modern servers operate and means that all warm air is exhausted, and there is no danger of either fan ingesting warm air exhausted by the other.

What is this 'sleep' which you all keep mentioning? All I ever seem to get at this time of year is a bit less ambient light & a short interlude in the birds' singing... :roll: :roll:

It's the bit when I close my eyes between the cat gnawing my phone charger cable at 01:00 (He is into red apparently, which my OnePlus cable is) and the cat doing some other dimwittery during the night, and the other parts of the night where I lie awake pretending I'm sleeping and hoping I am, and then the birds, and then my alarm. Not sure of the point of the alarm if I'm awake anyway.

I doubt that 'bit' is much more than a few seconds at most.

I downloaded some of the manuals from that link I sent you and all the pictures I could find show only a single fan. You say the other, non PSU fan was replaced already? Which direction is the arrow on the fan body showing?

In all honesty, if the 2nd fan was on the front, I'd expect it to be blowing in and the other out, but both on the back I'd say they should both be exhausting out of the case, it matches with modern server fan setups that ingest from the front and exhaust from the back.

@rubber_jonnie - second fan flow was pointing inwards which did not feel right.
